Marvel's new Phoenix, Echo, will be starring in her showtime alone series this fall. Triumph prose novelist Rebecca Roanhorse and creative person Luca Maresca are working on Phoenix Song: Reverberation, a cinque-issue serial to debut this October.

"I am excited to return to Recall in her first solo serial publication and follow this exciting new direction Jason Aaron has purloined her," Roanhorse says in the announcement. "Readers will see some early favorites reimagined and some entirely new characters as Echo comes to terms with the incredible and dangerous powers of the Capital of Arizona."

Echo was selected as the new host of the Phoenix Force in the modern Avengers plot line 'Enter the Phoenix' by Jason Aaron and Javier Garron. Roanhorse and artist Weshoyot Alvitre created an Echo squab story previous to that in 2020's Marvel's Voices: Indigenous Voices #1.

With her accede to existence the host of the Capital of Arizona Force, Echo is now one of the most powerful beings in the Wonder Universe according to the publisher. In the  Capital of Arizona Birdsong: Echo, she'll be erudition about her new abilities and the fierce personality that the Phoenix Pull off has.

Phoenix Song: Echo #1's independent screening is worn by Cory Smith, with variants by Oscar Vega, Leinil Francis Yu, Carmen Carnero, and Sir Alexander Robertus Todd Nauck. Hitch them out here:

Echo was created by David Mack and Joe Quesada way of life back in 1999's Daredevil #9, and went happening to briefly serve every bit an Avenger - and Ronin - in Brian Michael Bendis' Avengers ply. The publishing firm states that Phoenix Birdcall: Echo volition have "revelations" about both her ancestry and that of the Phoenix Force. The series will also boast the "shocking" return of a surprise X-Men villain and the first appearance of new Marvel heroes.

Wonder Entertainment has monumental plans for Echo on the far side comics - she'll do her MCU debut, played by Alaqua Cox, in the upcoming Disney Positive series Hawkeye, and is already pegged for her have spinoff show.

Phoenix Song: Echo #1 (of 5) goes along sale on Oct 20.
