i usually sell stacks of currency just before the fest starts, when prices are highest.
also, keeping an eye on the forums for the most popular skins and joxar items - people panic and buy fest stuff from the AH right at the end/just after the fest for a markup

I usually make money off of fests by selling currency during it. Usually you make the most on the first and last day.

You can also stockpile stuff for the future, but how profitable that is depends on how long you are willing to wait, and how popular the item is (which can be difficult to predict). I think the best things to invest in are versatile apparel items that people will want to have many copies of in their lair, or items that correspond to popular FR aesthetics.

And chests from the coli, since people apparently collect those. A chest can sell for many times the value of the skin inside.

i kinda just grind as much as possible and hoardsell the food and materials (gems, scales, whatever)? probably not the best strategy but hey, it makes money so i'm not complaining
